- Maximum weight is 230 lbs (103 kg) per person; weights are checked at the tour site
- Requires coordinated paddling for extended periods in a two-person kayak and comfort in the dark
- Not suitable during pregnancy or with prior injuries, back problems, or recent surgery
- Minors ages 7–17 must share a kayak with an adult
- Wear a bathing suit under your clothes and water shoes or sandals; bare feet are not permitted
- Bring a towel and change of clothes
- Be ready at your pickup location; the bus waits up to 5 minutes
- Expect your exact pickup time the day before; the published start time is an estimate
- Expect the tour to operate in rain; the guide may cancel for thunderstorms or serious conditions

Cancellation Policy
Cancel up to 24 hours before scheduled pickup for groups of up to 6, or 72 hours before for groups of 7 or more, for a full deposit refund. Same-day reservations, no-shows, unused spaces, and late cancellations are nonrefundable. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
FAQs
Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon and may range from very visible to minimal or not visible. Moon phase can affect visibility; a tarp may be used to help you appreciate the glow.
All kayaks on the BioBay kayak tour are two-person kayaks. If your group has an uneven number of participants, one person will be paired with another participant.
Your 6:00 PM group may be moved to the first departure if the minimum number of participants is not met.
