Itinerary
On this tour, you will cross a canal inside the nature reserve that is surrounded by various types of mangroves. This protects from strong winds and helps you to paddle easily in peaceful waters.
But the best part of this tour is to enjoy the incredible glittering water of the "Big Lagoon"! Tiny bioluminescent organisms called "pyrodiniums bahamenses" are the responsible for this wonder of nature. They produce blue-green light from top to bottom of this bay every time you touch or move the water with your kayak!

Important details
- Ages 6+ only
- Maximum weight is 245 pounds per person; weight checks take place at check-in
- Pregnant travelers cannot participate
- Moderate physical fitness is required, including the ability to paddle and complete the tour
- This tour is not suitable for travelers with back, shoulder or heart problems, epilepsy, recent surgery or other serious medical conditions
- Bring a valid photo ID matching the reservation name to check-in
- Participation under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or with disruptive behavior, is not allowed
- Kayaks seat two people. If your party has an odd number, you will be paired with another participant; a single kayak is not guaranteed. Children are paired only with a parent or family member from the same party
- Leave backpacks, handbags, luggage and any items the guides consider unsafe off the kayaks
- Arrive 30 minutes before your tour time. Late arrivals cannot participate
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for groups up to 10, or 2 weeks ahead for groups of 11–30, for a full refund or credit. No refunds for incomplete tours; no refund or credit for late arrivals or no-shows. Tours run in rain. You'll receive a refund if the operator cancels for weather; cancellation may occur at check-in. No refunds or credits for low or absent bioluminescence.

FAQs
Not reliably. Public transportation, taxis and Uber are not always available when the kayak tour ends. Rent a car or arrange round-trip transportation in advance.
Bring a towel and extra clothing. No lockers are available. Leave electronics off the kayaks; the operator is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
