Slow down to alpaca speed on a guided family visit that turns herd behavior into hands-on learning. The activities are paced for children ages 4–12, with grown-ups exploring alongside them.
Boots on and feeding cups ready — the Alpaca Family Field Day is an hour built for curious kids and the grown-ups who love them. From the moment you step into the pasture, our guides introduce you to the herd one soft nose at a time, showing your family how to hand-feed, approach gently, and read what each alpaca is telling you.
The heart of the visit is our personality-based scavenger hunt — a playful trail of clues that turns real herd behavior into hands-on discovery. Kids find out who's the bold one, who's shy, and how alpacas talk to each other, all while feeding cups empty and laughter fills the field. It's education disguised as play, paced just right for ages 4 to 12. Every guest under 18 needs an adult with them for the full visit — this one's built for families exploring the pasture together.
Plan on plenty of unhurried pasture time to wander, watch, and make a few four-legged friends before you go. Light rain won't stop us; only severe weather means we'll reschedule. Come dressed for the barnyard and ready to slow down to alpaca speed.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your visit for full credit or a one-time rebooking; no cash refunds. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows forfeit the full booking amount. Visits run in light rain; severe weather means rescheduling. If the farm cancels or reschedules for weather or animal welfare, you'll receive full credit or a free rebooking.
