Elk River Floats & Trestle Park offers a genuinely beautiful float experience on a stunning river, and several visitors rave about the scenery and quality equipment. When things go smoothly, guests describe stress-free days with well-maintained rafts and memorable bonding experiences on the water. The camping option provides direct river access, and the historic trestle bridge makes for a great swimming spot, especially during quieter weekdays. Some reviewers specifically praise certain staff members for making their trips enjoyable. However, there's a significant pattern of complaints about customer service that's hard to ignore. Multiple recent reviews mention extremely rude interactions with staff, particularly one individual who seems to handle day-to-day operations. These aren't isolated incidents—several visitors describe feeling disrespected, mocked, or verbally confronted before even getting started. There are also mentions of operational hiccups like long wait times on busy days and unexpected gate closures. If you're considering this outfitter, the river itself is gorgeous, but be prepared for potentially challenging interactions with management that could affect your experience.
Shout out to Rylan! He always makes sure our float is stress free and taken care of! If you’re wondering which campground/floating service to use, I assure you, Elk River Floats is the one to choose. I am never disappointed after a day on their river !!! And don’t forget to stop at Shadow Lake (great spot for when you run out of drinks)
