Booked a fishing charter with captain Judd and Stonie. The weather was less than desirable for fishing, let alone leaving the bay. Judd is a skilled captain and even better at finding kings. 8 guys on a boat was a little tight, but it works if you pay attention. It took a minute but once we were on tge fish, everyone took turns reeling in silvers and kings. My only disappointment is how the fish got divided at the end. I caught 4 silvers and my uncle caught two of the biggest kings. Somehow I only got 3 fish worth of fillers and they swapped his second biggest catch with the other groups small one. No big deal. I had also read that captain Jack's would be open to pack and flash freeze our catch. We ended up having to use J-dock. They informed us that they do not flash freeze so we had to ship the fish rather than check it on our flight home. All in all great crew, and the half day is totally worth it. Just know if its bad weather, you won't get to fish for rockfish. Location note: don't follow Google maps, just pay for parking in the north lot and walk to the wood deck behind the shops near pier walkway "c". You'll see a small little office to check in at.
