Take an active role in a wilderness dogsledding adventure
8 hrs
Sled instruction, lunch, hot drinks
Explore the Boundary Waters by dogsled on a hands-on outing built around active participation, rather than simply sitting back for a ride.
Full-day dogsledding offers an immersive, hands-on adventure where guests meet their dog teams and learn the skills needed to run a sled. You'll receive instruction on canine physical checks, harness fitment, sled setup, and driving techniques, then travel through wilderness scenery with stops to explore and enjoy views of the BWCA. The experience emphasizes interaction with the dogs on trail and after return, with plenty of photo opportunities to capture memories.
You'll receive a full refund or credit with 30 days' cancellation notice or if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Cancel less than 30 days before and you forfeit your deposit; within seven days, you forfeit your balance. No-shows are charged the full price. Final cancellation decisions are case by case.
