What a Great Place for a Getaway. Marilyn Burgess and I escaped the Hot Kansas weather to go to our favorite place…Pitkin, Colorado home to The Silver Plume General Store and Silver Plume Rentals. This was our 6th year to stay and rent RZR’s from Silver Plume. We stayed in the lower living unit this year. It is always clean, comfortable, has everything you need to cook your on meals (if you want to do that on vacation) and a front porch to go outside and take in the cool fresh air or go around & sit on the front porch of The Silver Plume General Store and visit with the locals or anyone stopping in to get gas or pretty much anything you need in The General Store! We rented Polaris RZR’s from Silver Plume Rentals. Cory always has the current year RZR’s clean, gassed up and ready for you to go out and explore the high country or the Colorado Rockies. You will see wildlife, ghost towns, historic Alpine Tunnel and just enjoy crossing over the continental divide and seeing the back country most people will never see. Stephanie has a cook trailer, covered seating area and outdoor games to play. Stephanie and her team have one of the best cheeseburgers and fries around plus a full menu of other meals.
