Important details
- Arrive 30 minutes before your reserved time; arrivals over 30 minutes late lose the reservation
- Lead renters must be 18+ and each renter age 18+ needs an original photo ID; copies are not accepted
- Minors require a parent or legal guardian in the party
- Kayaks require ages 6+; single kayaks require ages 14+ with adult supervision
- Children under 6 may ride in a canoe with an adult
- Children under 30 lbs require a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket that you provide
- Single kayaks allow 1 passenger up to 350 lbs; tandem kayaks allow 2 passengers up to 500 lbs total; canoes allow 2 passengers up to 400 lbs
- Life jackets must stay on and fastened, and you must remain in your vessel throughout the rental
- Stay between St. Johns green river channel markers 69 and 77; paddling in the spring run is not allowed
- Swimming, landing at other beaches, boarding other boats, and exchanging passengers are not allowed
- Alcohol and pets are not allowed in the park or on the vessels
- Prepare for rain; launches pause when lightning is reported within 5 miles of the launch area
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours before start for a full refund. Same-day reservations are nonrefundable. No-shows are not eligible for refunds. Receive a full refund if the operator cancels before departure.

Your kayak or canoe rental departs rain or shine, so bring a poncho or raincoat. Launches pause if lightning is reported within 5 miles of the launch area and resume after lightning has been outside that radius for 30 minutes.
The park can reach vehicle capacity early during manatee season and summer. Show your reservation confirmation to the park ranger directing the car line if admissions have stopped.
