Glencairn Museum
Perched on a wooded hillside in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, Glencairn Museum invites you into a world where ancient Egypt, medieval Europe, and sacred art share the same stone walls. The building itself is a castle-like masterpiece, built in the early twentieth century as the home of the Pitcairn family. Inside Glencairn Museum, galleries wind through Romanesque arches and soaring halls filled with genuine artifacts spanning thousands of years. The atmosphere is intimate yet grand, making every visit feel like a private audience with history.
A combination of art and architecture on a tour of a 45,000sf family home. Highly recommended! A limited amount of family history is included, but there is no outside tour of the property. Jam packed with information and our tour guide, James, was very informative and added a great deal to the experience. Again, highly recommend.
