Ride a UTV to North Rim backcountry overlooks in 8 hours
8 Hours
Up to 4 people
Guide, Water, Helmets
Ride in an open-air side-by-side UTV to reach remote Grand Canyon North Rim overlooks with a guide. Visit points like Crazy Jug, Monument Point, Thunder River, and Kanab Wilderness overlooks.
To ride on the UTV, children must be age 5 or older. To drive, you must be 21+ with a current valid driver license, and the driver must speak and understand English; riders 18+ must bring a government-issued ID. Gratuity, transport to and from the trailhead, and face coverings are not included (face coverings are sold in the office).
Cancel at least 24 hours before the tour to receive a refund of all but $100. Online bookings also have a 6% booking fee on the sub-total that is non-refundable. Less than 24 hours: no refund. If unsafe weather prevents rescheduling (and both parties agree), you’ll be refunded in full.
Plan to be at the office in Kanab 15 minutes prior to departure, and arrive at the appointed time.
Your tour may be combined with other visitors, so it cannot be delayed for tardiness. If you arrive late, the team will try to reschedule; if that is not possible, you will forfeit the cost of the tour.
Tour times are based on current Utah time (Mountain Time), which may differ from Las Vegas, Nevada or Page, Arizona depending on Daylight Saving Time.
North Rim (Kaibab National Forest)
Trevor, Mica, Tanner, Kelly, Shelly, and the rest of the guide team have built a genuine reputation for making people feel taken care of from the moment they walk in. Guests consistently highlight how knowledgeable the guides are about local geology, plants, and photography spots, while also appreciating the relaxed, go-at-your-own-pace approach. The equipment, including UTVs and ATVs, gets frequent praise for being well-maintained and even brand new in some cases. The tour options here are surprisingly varied, covering everything from White Pocket and Peekaboo Slot Canyon to ATV rides along the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Several visitors have returned multiple times and booked additional days mid-trip, which says a lot. If you're exploring Southwest Utah and want guides who actually make the experience personal rather than just transactional, this group seems worth your time.
We did the White Pocket tour with our guide Trevor. We had a great time and Trevor was fantastic. He made sure that we safely traversed all rock areas. He was very patient with our slower pace and made sure that we enjoyed our experience. He showed us the best photo opportunities and took pictures of us. We told Trevor of our next planned tour and he provided expert advice on how to stay safe on it. We highly recommend Kanab Tour Company!
