Sailing Grand Traverse Bay with this crew consistently delivers the kind of afternoon or evening that ends up being a trip highlight. Reviewers rave about the friendly, attentive staff, with Captain Shane and first mate Steve earning specific praise for making guests feel genuinely welcome. The boat handles varied group sizes well, from intimate Tuesday sails with just a handful of passengers to fully booked sunset cruises, and the views of the bay are stunning regardless of when you go. The Champagne Sunset tour is a crowd favorite, complete with souvenir metal cups and a bar on board. The crew has even been known to whip up off-menu cocktails for guests, which gives the whole experience a personalized touch. One practical tip worth noting from guests: bring a jacket, as it can get breezy on the water even on warm days. Private events like corporate networking gatherings also get glowing feedback, so this works well beyond just couples and families. The booking and check-in process is described as smooth and straightforward. With ratings sitting near perfect across a large number of reviews, the consistency here is hard to ignore for anyone looking to get out on the water while visiting Traverse City.
We did the Champagne Sunset tour on the Nauti-cat and it was one of the highlights of our stay in Traverse city. Each person gets a drink ticket, and they give you cute metal souvenir cups with each purchase. The boat is a good size for the amount of people, as there are plenty of seats for everyone and you get a good view wherever you are at. It can get a bit chilly on the water so make sure you bring a jacket if its chill out. The staff was friendly and even made a cocktail for us that was not officially on the menu. The view on the lake is beautiful, and this is a great couples boat ride, or even to do with family.
