Itinerary

Step 1: The Scenic Cruise – Board the water taxi for a beautiful cruise across the bay to our wilderness drop-off point. Keep your eyes peeled for marine wildlife! ​Step 2: The Backcountry Hike – Lace up your boots for a scenic hike through lush Alaskan wilderness up to the glacier drainage, carrying our lightweight packraft kits. The hike is up to 3 miles round trip. ​Step 3: Packraft Bootcamp – Inflate the rafts at the edge of the lagoon. Our expert guides will walk you through a detailed safety and paddling briefing. ​Step 4: The Paddle – Take to the water! Enjoy a serene paddle among the giant icebergs ​Step 5: Journey Home – Deflate, pack up, and enjoy the hike back to meet our return water taxi.

Important details

• Ages 12+ only
• Requires good physical condition for strenuous activity, including hiking up to 3 miles over uneven terrain
• Requires carrying a 25-pound packraft backpack while hiking
• Requires a parent or guardian-signed liability waiver for ages 12–17
• Travelers under 18 must remain with a guardian throughout the excursion
• No wheelchairs or strollers
• Back or heart issues and pregnancy are strongly discouraged for this strenuous full-day activity
• Weather, ocean, or river conditions may prevent the activity from operating
• Public parking fees at Homer Small Boat Harbor are not included and a parking charge applies
