Explore calm Black Canyon waters on a guided kayak trip designed for first-time paddlers and families. Learn about the Colorado River, Hoover Dam, and local wildlife ecology as you paddle.
Cancel at least 24 hours before start to avoid a full charge. No-shows and later cancellations are charged in full. Group bookings require 72 hours' notice. If severe weather makes the tour unsafe, it will be refunded or rescheduled at no extra charge.
No. You’ll get basic paddling instruction and a safety briefing, and you must wear a life vest at all times. Non-swimmers are welcome—tell your guide if you can’t swim.
Wear swimwear or quick-dry, layered clothing and plan for wet feet and ankles. Bring sunscreen and sunglasses, and wear water shoes or sandals (no flip flops). You can also bring a refillable water bottle and an optional towel or change of clothes.
Pets (dogs only) require prior approval, a fee, and must be house-trained. Emotional support animals are not allowed. Service animals require prior approval.
