Eagle Eye Farm, N7802 County Rd F, River Falls, WI 54022
This alpaca farm near Hudson has clearly struck a chord with visitors who describe it as their "happy place" and even "heaven on earth." The passion runs so deep that one couple flew in from NYC just for a day visit after following the farm on social media, while multiple reviewers mention returning again and again. What stands out most is the genuine care shown to the animals, something guests immediately pick up on, along with a knowledgeable staff that loves sharing what they do. The experience works beautifully for all ages, whether you're bringing grandkids, doing alpaca yoga, or simply sitting in the pens for some therapeutic time with the animals. You can choose between guided tours (where guides like Amanda get high marks for their expertise) or self-guided visits, with walk-ups apparently welcome. The variety of animals impresses too, from baby alpacas and kangaroos to highland cows, peacocks, Valais sheep, and even South American porcupines. One minor hiccup emerged around communication when paying for additional animal access, where a guest felt awkward having to prove their purchase to staff, though they still plan to return. Grab some food cups for a more interactive experience, and make sure to explore the barn thoroughly during baby season.
My mom & I made a little day trip on Feb. 8th of going out to Eagle Eye 😊 We went on a Sunday, so it was like we had the whole place to ourselves, which was nice. It was a little cold, but it was sunny 🌞 One thing I'd say is that it was icy & slippery in some parts where we walked around, but that didn't stop us from seeing all the furry & feathered friends. Would definitely like to come back later in the year when it's warmer!
