Itinerary
Welcome & Safety Briefing Meet your guide at the Poulsbo waterfront for check-in and an introduction to the experience. Guests will receive a kayaking safety briefing, paddle instruction, and an overview of the route before getting fitted with life jackets.
Launch & Liberty Bay Exploration After launching from the waterfront, begin paddling through the calm waters of Liberty Bay in stable sit-on-top kayaks. Along the route, your guide will share stories about Poulsbo’s maritime heritage, Scandinavian roots, and the Indigenous communities who stewarded these waters for generations.
Natural History & Wildlife Viewing As you move deeper into the bay, learn about the marine ecosystem of Puget Sound and Liberty Bay’s importance as a harbor seal habitat and pupping ground. Keep watch for harbor seals surfacing nearby, as well as bald eagles, great blue herons, jellyfish, and other wildlife.
