Paddle inflatable kayaks through Lehigh River whitewater with a guide
5 to 6 hours overall
Guides, gear, lunch
Explore the Lehigh River by inflatable kayak, with guides accompanying you in their own kayaks. Choose a solo kayak or bring a partner for a tandem and enjoy a standard river lunch during your trip.
Rates are subject to 6% taxes and fees plus a $5.50 per-person access charge. A 25% deposit is due at booking, with the balance due two weeks prior to your trip. Tandem kayaks require two people and you cannot switch between solo and tandem on the day of the trip.
Full refund for cancellations two weeks in advance; 50% refund for cancellations one week in advance; no refund thereafter. No refunds on day of trip cancellations.
Plan to get wet. On warm days, wear a swimsuit or T-shirt and shorts. Bring sunscreen and a visor or brimmed hat; in cooler weather, bring a windbreaker. Avoid cotton (especially sweatshirts and sweatpants). If you wear glasses, secure them with reliable straps.
Wear proper footwear—flip-flops, flimsy or loose-fitting sandals, Crocs, and bare feet are not permitted. Old sneakers work well, and sturdy sandals (like TEVA’s) are acceptable. You can purchase or rent appropriate footwear at the Adventure Center.
Leave dry clothes and towels in your car for after the trip. Don’t bring valuables, keys, coolers, alcohol, glass containers, pets, or non-waterproof cameras on the river. You can leave car keys at the Rafting Center.

Reviewers consistently praise the professional, friendly staff who make safety a priority while keeping things fun and lighthearted. Guides like Sid, Jennifer, Kurt, and John get multiple shout-outs for their expertise and welcoming personalities. The company handles everything smoothly from registration through equipment rental, and instructors clearly know their stuff when it comes to teaching proper techniques. The campground gets high marks for cleanliness and amenities, including a snack bar, gift shop, and showers for afterward. The Lehigh River trips typically run around 4 hours on the water with a mix of Class II and III rapids plus calmer stretches perfect for beginners and experienced rafters alike. Expect to get wet, so skip the cotton and consider their wetsuit rentals. Dam release weekends create more exciting conditions. Groups of all sizes and ages seem to have great experiences, from families to seniors. A few logistical notes: there's a midway lunch break where you'll want to bring your own food (stored in provided buckets), and the exit process can involve some waiting. One visitor felt a guide was rude, though this seems to be an outlier among otherwise glowing feedback about staff friendliness.
Great time! Jen and Ben were great! We had an awesome time! The campground, snack bar, and gift shop were perfect! Definitely will come back for bigger and better rapids!
