Paddle inflatable kayaks through Lehigh River whitewater with a guide
5 to 6 hours overall
Guides, gear, lunch
Explore the Lehigh River by inflatable kayak, with guides accompanying you in their own kayaks. Choose a solo kayak or bring a partner for a tandem and enjoy a standard river lunch during your trip.
Rates are subject to 6% taxes and fees plus a $5.50 per-person access charge. A 25% deposit is due at booking, with the balance due two weeks prior to your trip. Tandem kayaks require two people and you cannot switch between solo and tandem on the day of the trip.
Full refund for cancellations two weeks in advance; 50% refund for cancellations one week in advance; no refund thereafter. No refunds on day of trip cancellations.
Plan to get wet. On warm days, wear a swimsuit or T-shirt and shorts. Bring sunscreen and a visor or brimmed hat; in cooler weather, bring a windbreaker. Avoid cotton (especially sweatshirts and sweatpants). If you wear glasses, secure them with reliable straps.
Wear proper footwear—flip-flops, flimsy or loose-fitting sandals, Crocs, and bare feet are not permitted. Old sneakers work well, and sturdy sandals (like TEVA’s) are acceptable. You can purchase or rent appropriate footwear at the Adventure Center.
Leave dry clothes and towels in your car for after the trip. Don’t bring valuables, keys, coolers, alcohol, glass containers, pets, or non-waterproof cameras on the river. You can leave car keys at the Rafting Center.

Guides like Sid, Jennifer, Kurt, and John come up repeatedly in reviews, and it's clear the staff here genuinely makes the experience. Knowledgeable, safety-focused, and consistently described as friendly and funny, the guides kayak alongside the rafts and check in regularly, which newer rafters especially seem to appreciate. The Lehigh River offers three route options covering lower, upper, or combined stretches, with conditions varying based on dam releases and recent weather. Full trips typically run around four hours on the water. Beyond the rafting, the campground is a real draw. Campsites, showers, a snack bar, a game room, and a gift shop are all on-site, and the shuttle system drops you off right back at the property so there's no logistical headache. Wetsuits and booties are available to rent, which is worth considering since the water can run cold. Skip the cotton clothing and consider a small waterproof case for your phone. Most people come back more than once, which says a lot about the overall experience.
Great time! Jen and Ben were great! We had an awesome time! The campground, snack bar, and gift shop were perfect! Definitely will come back for bigger and better rapids!
