Standing at the edge of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, the scale of the Calico Hills stops you in your tracks. Bands of cream, rust, and deep crimson streak across the sandstone faces, shifting color as the sun moves across the Mojave sky. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area rewards those who slow down, whether you are watching a hawk circle a ridge or tracing petroglyphs left by people who walked this land thousands of years ago.
Michael picked us up from Aria at 6:00am and dropped us back off at the front door. We had an amazing hike and really enjoyed the whole experience. Michael was very knowledgeable about the beautiful views and the ancient paintings on the rocks. Great experience. Highly recommended.
