- Requires confident-beginner riding skills or higher
- A Northwest Forest Pass is required for parking and is not included in the listed price. Passes are available at the trailhead for $5, payable by cash or check.
- Wear layers and bring at least 1 quart of water per person.
- Sign the liability and helmet waivers before riding.
- Arrive at the meeting point at 8:00am.

Yes. Allow about 30 minutes each way for travel to and from the trailhead, in addition to the 3–4-hour horseback ride. Expect to return to town around 1:30pm.
