Guide Ken Blauvelt comes up again and again in reviews, and for good reason. He has a real knack for reading a group, adjusting the pace and trail choices to match everyone's ability, and keeping things fun whether riders are complete beginners or seasoned trail shredders. Guides DJ, Martin, and Erik also earn high praise, with riders noting their skills, local knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for the sport. The experience feels genuinely personalized rather than cookie-cutter. Guides pick riders up, provide quality bikes, and even pack homemade lunches for full-day tours. Mixed-ability groups seem to be handled with particular care, with multiple reviewers highlighting how the guides found creative ways to keep everyone challenged and engaged without leaving anyone behind. One guide even fixed a broken chain mid-ride without missing a beat. Trails like Tiger Mountain, Duthie Hill, and Grand Ridge give riders stunning scenery alongside great singletrack, and the guides clearly know these spots inside and out. The consistent five-star ratings across a large number of reviews is about as telling as it gets. If you're visiting Seattle and want to get out on the trails without the hassle of logistics, this is a solid call.
Ken was a great guide, and took pains to help a group of beginners feel comfortable. We’re looking forward to doing more writing in the future with Seattle Mountain Bike tours.
