Dress in layers and consider a windbreaker or warm layer (it’s usually cooler and windier on the water). Bring sunscreen, a sunhat, sunglasses, soft-soled shoes, and a raincoat if you want. Blankets are available on board.
You get cold bottled water at no charge. You can buy sodas, iced tea, mixed drinks, beer, cider, and wine once aboard, and a lobster roll dinner is offered. You’re also welcome to bring your own drinks, food, and snacks; there’s an onboard refrigerator to keep items cool.
Plan on a minimum of 4 guests per boat. Most of the season, sailboats have a capacity of 6 each; if your group is larger than 6, you’ll need to make two bookings.

The boats themselves are spotless and well-maintained, equipped with everything guests need for a comfortable outing. Sunset cruises appear especially popular, though midday sails get equally enthusiastic feedback. The husband-and-wife team running many of the trips creates a genuinely hospitable atmosphere, with thoughtful touches like blankets, drinks, and snacks. People appreciate the smooth booking process and describe the overall experience as relaxing yet engaging. It's clearly a family-run operation that takes pride in sharing their home waters with visitors.
Captain Bob and First Mate Chloe were just awesome. We had a great time on Wood Island and the lighthouse and cottage were great. Only a suggestion, but maybe a little more time on the sailboat would be a good thing. It was a great day and we had a blast. Thank you, Carl, Gia, Shelly, Dave, Rich and Patty!
