    Itinerary

    1. Leave Pedego Electric Bikes after parking lot practice ride and tour a quiet eastside neighborhood, once the home of the Commonwealth Art Colony with views and stories about the iconic Boothbay Harbor Footbridge.
    2. Follow an old Indian trail to visit Appalachee Pond where you'll hear stories about Maine’s mysterious Red Paint People who prospered here for thousands of years before disappearing without a trace.
    3. Enjoy a scenic ride around Lobster Cove, Linekin Bay, and Barrett Park.
    4. Visit the Sprucewold Lodge, once billed as the “World’s Largest Log Cabin” and a fine example of an Adirondack-style hotel. Hear historic tales of Samoset, a local Wawenock leader who became the first Indigenous person to contact the Europeans.
    5. Delight in a coastal ride along Grandview Avenue with spectacular views of four islands and three lighthouses with stop for stories and photos.
    6. Experience the beauty of the 134-year-old Spruce Point Inn, favored vacation spot of the Kennedy family and Ernest Hemingway, with fabulous views of the Burnt Island Lighthouse and time for photos.
    7. Journey back through town along the eastside's working waterfront with beautiful harbor views.

    Important details

    • Arrive 30 minutes early for bike fitting, instruction, and a parking lot practice ride
    • Ages 21+ only; ages 16+ may ride with a parent or guardian
    • Suggested minimum height is 5 feet
    • Weight limit is 350 lbs
    • Requires basic fitness and confidence riding a standard bike
    • Not suitable for people with impaired mobility
    • Wear a helmet at all times while riding

    Cancellation Policy

    Free cancellation up to 24 hours before start. If the operator cancels due to dangerous weather, receive a full refund or reschedule.

    FAQs

    Arrive 30 minutes early for bike fitting, instruction, and a practice ride. Saturday tours run 10:30 AM–1:00 PM and depart at 10:30 AM.

    Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a phone/camera, and a rain jacket or light layers as needed.

    No e-bike experience is required, but you must have basic fitness and be able to confidently ride a standard bike. If it has been a while since you’ve ridden, practice at least once before your e-bike tour.
