Head from old town Bisbee to Chiricahua National Monument for a moderate 3.4-mile Echo Canyon Loop hike, then continue by 4-wheel drive route to Cave Creek Canyon. Finish with a stop at the Chiricahua Desert Museum in Rodeo, New Mexico.
Hiking shoes and long pants are required. Expect some uneven ground and/or loose rock. Lunch is on your own at Portal Peak Lodge Store & Café.
