2-6 people
Gear, lunch, guide
Explore 17 miles of whitewater on a 6–7 hour rafting trip on the Hudson River Gorge from North Creek. Take on rapids with a New York State licensed guide, with time for swimming and rock jumping along the way.
Ages 8+ in summer (Class III-IV); spring age restrictions vary with water levels and are generally 14+. Alcohol and cannabis are not allowed on trips.
Cancel up to 1 week before the trip date for a full refund. No refunds within 1 week, for no-shows, or for weather-based cancellations. If the operator cancels for any reason, you get a full refund.
Arrive on time. The trip relies on a morning dam release for access to the river; if you miss it, the group can’t go. If you miss your trip because you’re late, you won’t get a refund.
Dress for the season and avoid cotton in April and early May. Wear secure footwear like old sneakers, water shoes, or sandals with back straps; don’t wear flip flops or Crocs. Wetsuit booties are available to borrow at no extra cost, and you must wear their booties in spring and fall.
Bring dry clothes for after the trip, sunscreen, any medication (they’ll keep it dry), a water bottle, and a baseball cap or visor if you want to wear it under your helmet. Bring cash if you want to tip your guide.

Travelers consistently praise the knowledgeable and personable guides who make every trip memorable. Clayton, Marnie, Patrick Harrison, Liam, and Benny get special mentions for sharing local history, spotting wildlife like bald eagles and ospreys, and creating fun atmospheres while keeping groups safe. The staff across the board earns high marks for being friendly, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming, from Pete and Cassandra's warm hospitality to the guides who quickly handle unexpected situations on the water. The operation itself runs smoothly with reasonable pricing, well-maintained facilities including clean changing rooms and restrooms, and excellent last-minute flexibility. They offer various activities beyond rafting including kayaking and tubing, with delivery services for kayak rentals. The Hudson River provides beautiful scenery, especially during fall foliage season, and the rapids deliver the right amount of excitement. One reviewer mentioned limited changing facilities at certain drop-off points for combo tours, though proper changing rooms exist at the main location. Food service gets positive feedback overall, though bringing personal snacks is an option if you have particular preferences.
Mrs. Feldman, our guide and Pete Burns, the owner were super nice, professional and accommodating for our last minute reservation and request. Marnie is a very experienced and knowledgable guide who went the extra mile to ensure we had a great trip.
