- Board the shuttle for the upstream drop-off point on the James River.

- Return to the private takeout, then head back to camp, your RV site, or head home.

- Requires comfort on the water and readiness for a full outdoor river day
- Under 18s require a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian
- Well-behaved dogs are welcome in kayaks and canoes, but not on tubes or rafts. Keep dogs leashed on campground property.
- Bring your own paddles and life jackets when using your own equipment. Children must wear life jackets.
- Sign your waiver before arrival; everyone in your party needs a signed waiver.
- Leave glass containers at home and pack out everything you bring. Do not bring anything that could damage the river environment.
- Reservations require at least 12 hours' notice.
- Arrive with enough time to park, check in and prepare before your shuttle departs.
Cancellation Policy
Request cancellations, changes, or rebookings at least 48 hours before your reservation, including for weather-related reasons. This policy also applies to bookings made within 48 hours of the trip. Monitor weather conditions. No-shows are charged the full reservation amount.

The float operation runs seasonally from May through September.
Missing waivers can delay your group's departure. If there isn't enough time to finish before the shuttle leaves, you may be moved to a later shuttle if space is available. Complete everyone's waiver before arrival.
Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, water, snacks, water-friendly clothing and secure footwear. Pack a towel and a change of clothes for afterward; a waterproof bag or dry box is recommended for personal items. Coolers with food and drinks are welcome, but leave glass containers at home.
