• Arrive at Finley & James for check in, finalize waivers, and get fitted for your gear.
• Board the shuttle for the upstream drop-off point on the James River.
• Enjoy a scenic float back with your choice of kayak, canoe, or raft.
• Return to the private takeout, then head back to camp, your RV site, or head home.

Important details

• The float requires comfort on the water and readiness for a full outdoor river day.
• Under 18s require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian before arrival.
• A valid Missouri fishing license is required if you plan to fish.
• Well-behaved dogs are welcome in kayaks and canoes, but not on tubes or rafts. Keep dogs leashed on campground property.
• Bring your own paddles and life jackets when using your own equipment. Children must wear life jackets.
• Sign your waiver before arrival; this applies to everyone taking part.
• Leave glass containers and anything that could damage the river environment at home. Pack out everything you bring.
• River conditions, weather, and water levels can affect equipment suitability and float conditions.
• Reserve at least 12 hours in advance.
• Arrive with enough time to park, check in, and prepare for your shuttle. Park in the designated parking area.
• Incomplete waivers can delay departure. If paperwork cannot be finished before the shuttle leaves, you may be moved to a later shuttle if space is available.
