Paddle by tidewater glaciers, then fish Kenai Fjords waters

Meals, kayak gear, fishing gear
Explore Kenai Fjords National Park by kayak and fishing boat on a combined glacier and fishing adventure. Paddle near a tidewater glacier, then fish on the journey back with guidance and equipment provided.
Guests can enjoy coffee and breakfast on the boat after being picked up at Orca Island Yurts, and while on their way to the national park.
The boat departs at 6:00 am, getting to Orca Islands around 6:20 am. Returning around 6:00 pm, offering a full-day fishing experience for up to 10 anglers. The vessel can also carry up to six additional guests as a water taxi to the fjords for guided kayaking or glacier sightseeing.
Each vessel measures 36 to 40 feet long by 13 to 14 feet wide and features a spacious walk-around cabin with over 30 feet of rail space per side, providing plenty of room for up to five anglers on each side. All passengers board together, and if there are kayakers on board, they are dropped off around 8:00 a.m. before fishing begins — placing anglers just minutes from the fishing grounds. When no kayak or taxi drop-off is scheduled, that extra time becomes an additional hour of fishing at no extra cost.
Upon returning to Miller’s Landing, we’ll hang your catch for photos and fillet or process your fish as requested. We can also direct you to local packers in town for freezing, cold or heat packing, and shipping services.
This early departure schedule provides exceptional value for our guests — offering more time on the water, the opportunity to see glaciers, and a flexible way to keep families or groups with different interests together on the same adventure. The vessel’s high-tunnel catamaran design ensures fast travel through choppy conditions and outstanding stability for a smooth, comfortable ride all day long.
A $10 cancellation fee applies. Cancel 30+ days ahead for a 90% refund; 15–29 days for 75%; or within 14 days for a 50% refund only if the trip is rebooked. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather. Rain does not qualify for cancellation.

Wear water-resistant shoes if possible; tennis shoes also work. Launch and retrieval are from shore, so you should not need to step into the water.
If seasickness affects you, take your preferred motion-sickness treatment in advance and follow its instructions. Avoid alcohol and antihistamines before this full-day charter, as they may make you sleepy.
Halibut cannot be targeted or retained. Combination fishing charters booked before July 1 do not target or retain Ling Cod. Fishing follows current seasonal harvest regulations.

Had an incredible day on the fishing charter! The captain and crew were attentive and really helpful and made sure we had a great day. Even though our trip was cut short due to mechanical issues, they provided a generous refund and the opportunity to go again. Would definitely go back out again, had a great time. The Cook Your Catch was definitely worth it too!
