Important details
- Bring a current Alaska Department of Fish and Game fishing license, printed and in hand before departure; children under 16 are exempt
- A King Salmon Stamp is required to retain a King Salmon; without one, any King Salmon caught must be released
- Halibut cannot be targeted or retained on this Best of Alaska tour
- Bring a water bottle and dress in warm synthetic or wool layers with rain gear
- Alcohol, bananas, and banana products are not allowed aboard
- Share dietary and medical restrictions before arrival
- A fuel surcharge may apply and is not included in the listed price: $10 per person per day at $4.76–$5.25 per gallon, $20 at $5.26–$5.75, and $30 at $5.76–$6.25
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 30+ days before departure receive a 90% refund; 15–29 days receive 75%. Within 14 days, a 50% refund is available only if the trip is rebooked. A $10 cancellation fee applies. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather; rain does not constitute cancellation.
FAQs
Wear water-resistant shoes if possible; tennis shoes also work. Launch and retrieval are from shore, so you should not need to step into the water.
If seasickness affects you, take your preferred motion-sickness treatment in advance and follow its instructions. Avoid alcohol and antihistamines before this full-day charter, as they may make you sleepy.
Halibut cannot be targeted or retained. Combination fishing charters booked before July 1 do not target or retain Ling Cod. Fishing follows current seasonal harvest regulations.
