Lloyd is a Key West legend, plain and simple. He's been on the island since the early 70s and knows every hidden corner of it, from secret beaches and residential neighborhoods filled with classic Conch and Bahama-style architecture to local trees bursting with tropical fruits you've probably never heard of. Tasting things like Suriname cherries, Spanish lime, and tamarind right off the tree is one of those experiences that genuinely surprises people, and Lloyd wraps it all in history, local stories, and a personality that keeps everyone entertained for the full three-plus hours. The pace is relaxed and unhurried, which is worth knowing going in. This isn't a workout ride, it's more of a leisurely roll through parts of Key West that most visitors never see. That slow pace is actually part of the charm, giving you time to stop, taste, smell, and hear the stories behind everything. Repeat visitors and longtime locals both rave about it, which says a lot. If you're headed to Key West, this one is genuinely hard to skip.
Our bike tour with Lloyd was truly unforgettable — and honestly, so much more than a tour. As a resident of over 50 years, Lloyd shared fascinating stories about local history, architecture, and famous locals in a way that felt deeply personal and authentic. Along the way, we stopped to smell tropical flowers, taste fresh local fruit, and truly experience the spirit of Key West. It felt less like sightseeing and more like being welcomed into the culture by an old friend. If you’re visiting Key West, you should definitely prioritise this tour.
