Kings Canyon Guided Day Hike from Ayers Rock Resort

Itinerary

1. Start with a shared pickup at 04:00 from October–March or 04:30 from April–September. Pickup may be early or late.
2. Stop at Kings Creek Station for a cooked breakfast.
3. Explore Kings Canyon National Park with your guide on a 6 km walk to the canyon rim. Learn about the region's history, geology, plants, and wildlife, and experience the Creek Bed Walk, with an optional scenic flight.
4. Visit the Garden of Eden, a permanent water source, and enjoy views across Watarrka National Park, time permitting. Swimming is not permitted here.
5. Take a break for lunch and a dip in the pool at Kings Canyon Resort.
6. Return by the included shuttle.

Important details

• Children aged 2–15 require an accompanying paying adult. Children aged 0–1 can join free of charge.
• The Rim Walk is Grade 4 (difficult), with steep, rocky sections over 6 km and approximately three hours. The Creek Bed Walk is Grade 2 (easy) and covers 2 km.
• For tours before 1 April 2027, a Northern Territory Parks Pass is required and is not included in the listed price.
• Bring water bottles with a minimum capacity of 3 litres.
• You may bring one medium suitcase weighing no more than 23 kg. Wheeled bags with adjustable handles are not accepted as hand luggage because they do not fit in the overhead compartments.
• Arrive in the property's lobby 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Shared pickup may be early or late.
