Head up Mauna Kea for guided stargazing with an astronomer and astro-photographer, then continue to the summit for sunrise when conditions allow. You’ll use a deep space telescope setup and go home with complimentary photos.
Guests must be at least 13 years old, and closed-toe shoes are required. This tour reaches high elevation (up to 13,800 ft) and is not recommended for pregnant guests or those with heart or respiratory conditions; it’s also not suitable within 24 hours of scuba diving. Weather, cloud cover, and summit access can affect the route and views.
Full refund up to 24 hours before start. If cloud conditions delay the tour by more than 90 minutes, a full refund can be issued. Delays under 90 minutes are not eligible for a refund. If conditions are unsafe before the tour begins, rescheduling or a full refund is offered.
You must be at least 13 years old. You also cannot join if you have scuba dived within 24 hours before the tour. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Wear closed-toe shoes (required) and bring warm layers, water, and any personal medications you may need. You can also bring light snacks, sunglasses for the drive down, and a camera or phone. Comfortable pants and walking shoes are recommended.
Pickup time and location are confirmed the day before your tour. Be ready at your designated pickup location 10 minutes early. Exact timing may vary slightly based on seasonal sunrise times.
