The Broom Closet
Matt stands out as the star guide here, with multiple reviewers praising his friendliness, historical knowledge, and engaging storytelling. The tour combines Memphis history with ghost stories, making stops at various locations including the Marine Hospital and French Fort. Guests appreciate the mix of spooky tales and genuine historical context, with some reporting actual ghostly interactions and spirit communication technology adding to the atmosphere. The meeting point offers convenient parking and a shop worth browsing if you arrive early. Most guests leave thoroughly entertained and educated about Memphis's haunted past. However, a couple of reviewers felt disappointed that the tour didn't enter buildings or visit all advertised locations, instead viewing sites from the bus or nearby. The experience seems to vary depending on expectations. If you're looking for an engaging historical tour with supernatural elements and don't mind viewing locations from outside, this comes highly recommended by the vast majority of guests. Dress warmly in cooler months since you'll be getting on and off the bus.
Went on the Memphis Haunted house bus tour this weekend. Started at 7.30 and went on for about 2 hrs. The tour guide were great and we were taken to less know Memphis places a were told about the forgotten history of Memphis dating back to Chickasaw Indians who lived here. They also did some ghost hunting exercises with us as the mansions and in the park. Really enjoyed the bus tour. Glad it was in the night. It was extra spooky.
