1. Pick up: Your guide will pick you up at your desired location (our downtown shop, 255 Marine Way, Juneau, AK 99801, your ship, or your lodging).
2. Transportation to starting point: Your guide will drive you 20 minutes out to the Mendenhall Glacier, offering a narrated ride of Juneau's rich history, nature, and culture.
3. Gear-up: Next, prepare for your ride by receiving your bike, helmet, and rain gear if needed. Your guide will give you a brief run down of our bikes and safety expectations for our tour.
4. Ride to the western side of the Mendenhall Glacier: Begin the first half of your bike ride, stopping along the way to enjoy various views in the Mendenhall Valley. You'll bike past a beaver dam, over the Mendenhall River, and through a beautiful rainforest trail.
5. Stop at Mendenhall Lake: After a 4 mile ride, you will take a brief break to enjoy breathtaking views of the Mendenhall Glacier from across the Mendenhall Lake on a serene beach. This is a perfect spot for a picture.
6. Ride to the eastern side of the Mendenhall Glacier: Next, you will begin the second half of your bike ride, another 4 miles to the magnificent Mendenhall Glacier. You will enjoy another rainforest trail while riding closer and closer to the glacier.
7. Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center: Upon completion of the ride, your guide will take you on a short 5-7 minute walk to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, where you will have 45 minutes to enjoy the area. Explore trails, experience the chill glacial air, and learn about the glacier inside the Visitor Center. This is an independent portion.
8. Ride to Forbidden Peak Brewery: Next, rejoin your guide, who will transport you to Forbidden Peak Brewery, about a 10 minute van ride.
9. Beer tasting: Enjoy a custom flight of beers or an alternate beverage and a shared appetizer while enjoying views of Auke Bay. You will spend roughly 30-45 minutes here.
10. Transportation back downtown: After completing your beer tasting, your guide will drive you 20 minutes back downtown and drop you off at your boat or lodging.

Downtown Juneau
We did the bike and brew bike tour while in Juneau and it was a great experience. Our tour guides were Chanelle and Locklan and they were friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. The bike path was easy and full of beautiful sights. We love to bike, so this was the perfect activity for us. They flight at the brewery was a nice bonus!
