MONARCH SNOWMOBILE TOURS 22763 Highway 50, Salida CO, 81201
Monarch delivers consistently excellent snowmobile adventures, thanks largely to their outstanding guides who receive glowing praise across the board. Dustin, Jake, Kevin, and Alexis all get enthusiastic shoutouts for being knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely fun to ride with. Guests love that guides pull them out of deep snow when needed, share local history, and keep the energy high throughout tours. The terrain stands out as uniquely exciting compared to other Colorado options, with challenging trails, freestyle meadow areas, and beautiful tree-lined routes that make for incredible photos. The whole operation runs smoothly from check-in to ride-out. Staff greet visitors warmly with coffee and hot chocolate by the fire while everyone gears up. Speaking of gear, everything you need is included in the price (boots, helmets, gloves, bibs), and guides will even swap you into warmer equipment if needed. Tours run around two to three hours, covering roughly seven miles through varied terrain. First-timers feel well-prepared after clear safety briefs and demonstrations. Even during lean snow years, they manage to find plenty of rideable powder up at Monarch Park. It's a well-loved local operation that creates memorable experiences for beginners and experienced riders alike.
My wife and I went on the 2 hour tour last weekend and couldn’t have had a better experience! Our guide, Dustin, was fantastic, letting us know what to expect every step of the way and accommodating the variety of skill levels in our group. We were fortunate that there was plenty of snow and the views were spectacular! Dustin was kind enough to take photos at a few points along the way so we ended up with some great photos. 10/10, would definitely recommend!
