With an exceptional rating backed by hundreds of reviews, this outfitter delivers consistently memorable trail rides through Wyoming's stunning backcountry. Guests rave about the breathtaking Teton views and well-maintained trails that showcase the region's natural beauty. The horses get plenty of love too—described as gentle, well-trained, and perfectly matched to riders' abilities, making this a solid choice for everyone from first-timers to experienced equestrians. The guides truly set this operation apart. Names like Nora, Maggie, Kenzie, and Cooper come up repeatedly, with riders praising their knowledge of the terrain, attentiveness to safety, and genuine warmth that transforms a simple trail ride into something special. Whether you opt for the 2-hour breakfast ride or the signature half-day adventure with lunch, the staff seems dedicated to personalizing the experience and ensuring everyone feels comfortable. Families particularly appreciate how the wranglers work with mixed skill levels, and many guests say their ride was the highlight of their entire Jackson trip.

I cannot say enough good things about Willow Creek Horseback Rides. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease. The horses are absolutely beautiful — healthy, muscular, well cared for, and clearly loved. You can tell right away that this is a place where the horses’ wellbeing truly matters. My wranglers, Nancy and Kelsey, were incredible. They were kind, knowledgeable, steady, and so good at what they do. They made the entire experience feel safe, personal, and meaningful. And Richard, the trail boss, was so kind and flexible with me from the very beginning. His thoughtfulness made such a difference and helped make the whole experience something I’ll never forget. This ride meant a lot to me, and the people at Willow Creek made it even more special. They already feel like family, and I truly can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for a beautiful ride with wonderful people and horses who are clearly loved and cared for, this is the place.
