Morning Guided Kayak Tour on Folly River

Itinerary

1. Arrive 15 minutes before the tour
2. Check in with office staff
3. Get ready to kayak: Use the changing room, restroom, and put your personal gear in our cubbies, fill your water bottle, put sunblock
4. Meet your Guide in the backyard to receive a PFD (lifejacket), Paddle.
5. Head down to the waters edge for safety first start and basic instruction or "Ground School"
6. Launch into the Folly River alongside your guides
7. Practice your new kayak skills near the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins.
8. Take a water break at the half way point in the river
9. Your Guide will give an eco talk about the amazing dolphins feeding technique "Strand Feeding" and other wildlife within the ecosystem
10. At low tide, we visit a private beach
11. Refill your water back at our shop

Important details

• Arrive 15 minutes before the tour
• Flip flops or water shoes are required
• Ages 13+ only for single kayaks
• Children 12 and under ride in a tandem kayak with at least one participant age 13+
• Carolina single sit-in kayaks have a maximum height of 6'2" and/or weight of 225 lbs
• Pescador single sit-on-top kayaks have a maximum height of 6'6" and/or weight of 375 lbs
• If no one else is signed up at tour start, single-kayak bookings require a private-tour fee of $30, not included in the listed price
