Whalers Village at Kaanapali Beach
Captain Dan and his crew consistently deliver exceptional snorkeling adventures to Lanai that feel more intimate than the typical big boat tours. Reviewers rave about the personalized attention and willingness to go the extra mile, like switching locations when visibility isn't ideal or slowing down to watch whales breach nearby. The team's knowledge of Hawaiian waters and marine life really shines through, and they excel at making everyone feel safe and comfortable, even helping guests who experience motion sickness. The snorkeling spots, particularly Fish Rock in Manele Bay, get high marks for abundant sea life. Beyond the underwater experience, guests regularly encounter bonus wildlife sightings like spinner dolphins, humpback whales, sea turtles, and monk seals. The continental breakfast and quality gear are thoughtful touches. Several reviewers appreciate that this operation focuses on getting you in the water efficiently rather than wasting time with unnecessary extras. The jet boat option also gets enthusiastic mentions for combining thrills with marine life encounters.
Very popular beach. Very long and quite developed offering many eating and lodging options. A large paid parking structure is available at Whaler's Village (shopping mall). Gorgeous sunsets. Whales can be spotted in season. A paved boardwalk is going along this very busy beach. Outdoor showers provide a place to rinse of the fine golden sand.
