History enthusiasts consistently praise the knowledgeable and friendly staff here, with several visitors singling out specific docents for their deep expertise and engaging presentations. The house has been beautifully restored and meticulously arranged, with thoughtful displays that bring the Todd family story to life. Visitors appreciate the self-guided tour format, which allows them to explore at their own pace while reading detailed descriptions in each room. The outdoor gardens add a lovely touch to the experience. Most guests find the admission worthwhile for supporting this historic site, though a couple of reviewers felt the tour was smaller than expected for the price. The gift shop gets positive mentions for its broad selection and reasonable prices. Overall, this is a well-maintained piece of history with passionate staff who genuinely care about sharing the stories. The combination of quality restoration work and informative materials makes it a solid stop for anyone interested in American history.
We enjoyed our self-guided tour. Staff was knowledgeable and provided additional details beyond the exhibits. Free parking a nice perk. Recommended for your inner history buff.
