If you’re prone to seasickness, the captain recommends taking Dramamine before you go to sleep the night before and again about an hour before your trip.
Waters Edge Bait and Tackle
Captain Eric runs a tight operation out of the Cape Canaveral area, and the reviews here tell a pretty consistent story. He's the kind of guide who actually puts you on fish rather than just driving you around hoping for the best. Redfish, sea trout, snook, kingfish, mahi, sharks, tarpon, and more show up across these trips, both inshore and nearshore, which speaks to his versatility on the water. What stands out most is how well he handles all experience levels. Multiple reviewers mention bringing along complete beginners or young kids, and Captain Eric takes the time to teach technique rather than just hand someone a rod. He's also earned credit for adapting when weather doesn't cooperate, switching trip types or adjusting timing to make the most of conditions rather than just canceling and calling it a day. Repeat customers keep showing up in these reviews, which says something. This feels like the kind of charter where people come back year after year, bring their families, and leave with both fish and a story worth telling.
Captain Eric was very knowledgeable and amazing!! He knew exactly where the fish were!! All the spots he took me to offshore were amazing and loaded with fish! Great experience and definitely would go back!!
