- Ages 2 and under may ride free as lap children in Standard Class only
- Lap children are not permitted in Platinum Class, Diamond Class, or the Private Caboose. Children ages 2 and under in Platinum or Diamond Class need a ticket and must sit safely on their own
- Only service animals trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities are allowed
- All seating is upstairs, and the historic passenger cars cannot accommodate wheelchairs
- Outside food and beverages are not allowed on board
- Arrive 30 minutes early for check-in. The train cannot be held for late arrivals
