Open-Cockpit WWII Biplane Ride in Easton, MD

See Maryland's Eastern Shore from between the wings of a vintage biplane

    Duration

    40 mins

    Highlights

Fly in an open cockpit aboard a modified 1942 World War II training aircraft. Enjoy gentle banks and turns over the Eastern Shore countryside, without aerobatic maneuvers.

    • Ride behind a 9-cylinder, 300-horsepower radial engine
    • Look out over St. Michaels, Tilghman Island and Oxford on the typical route
    • Explore a route of your choice on the Eastern Shore within 25 miles of Easton airport

    Important details

    • Weight limit: 200 lbs per passenger, dressed to fly
    • Requires safely entering and exiting the front cockpit by lifting each leg over its 34-inch-high side while holding a shoulder-high handle with one hand
    • This experience cannot accommodate passengers with disabilities
    • Flights operate in steady winds up to about 15–18 knots. Shifting winds above 10 knots may prevent flying
    • Flights require 3–5 miles of visibility and do not operate with thunderstorms nearby
    • Flights do not operate if temperatures during the scheduled flight are forecast above 85°F (29°C) or below 50°F (10°C)
    • Arrive 20 minutes early

    Cancellation Policy

Give at least 24 hours' notice to change or cancel your reservation. Cancellations and no-shows within 24 hours incur a 100% cancellation fee. If the operator agrees the weather is unfavorable, your flight is rescheduled and the notice requirement is waived. Flights do not operate in rain.
