Slow down and connect with history through nature
Approx. 90 mins
Guided walk, Breathing exercises
Explore the connection between nature and history through outdoor mindfulness with Kripalu-certified guide Susan West Montgomery. Her approach brings mindfulness to historic and cultural sites, inviting you to cultivate curiosity and a deeper sense of belonging.
The sessions are approximately 90-minutes long and are conducted in relative silence. They include warm-ups, centering, and breathing exercises to connect participants to their bodies and the world around them. These are followed by a walk and an extended sit which encourages participants to become more fully open and present to their surroundings. We conclude with a returning ritual and a chance to reflect on the experience. This time in nature will not be strenuous; most abilities can be accommodated. All ages are welcomed but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
