- Check in upon arrival to join the tour queue; departures follow check-in order, with typical waits of 5–30 minutes
- Dress for changing weather; tours run rain or shine but may pause or delay in severe conditions and do not depart in heavy rain below 45°F
- Remain seated and hold on securely while the cart is moving over uneven, bumpy terrain
