Explore the Lower Salt River by kayak or stand up paddleboard with a guide, paddling through Class I and sometimes Class II rapids. Learn about local history and the desert environment as you float through changing scenery.
Tours run April through October and launch sites may change due to water conditions; you’ll receive a GPS location. Participants must wear a PFD (life jacket) and should be able to swim. Children under 12 must ride in a double kayak with an adult guardian.
Guided and beach delivery reservations: full refund with 48 hours notice. Reschedule up to 24 hours in advance, subject to availability. Reservations over $500 have a 6% cancellation fee. Full refund if the operator cancels due to unsafe weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
No. You provide your own transportation to the river.
Yes. A shuttle runs from the take-out site back to the launch site for drivers.
Wear a hat, sunglasses, sun-safe clothing, and shoes or all-terrain sandals that can get wet (synthetic layers work well in cooler weather). Bring extra water and snacks, sunscreen, and a change of dry clothes to leave in your car.
