Cruise Anna Maria Island’s intracoastal waterways and Gulf coastline aboard a private boat for your group. Look for dolphins, seasonal manatees, and coastal birds while learning about the local marine environment.
#Your Private Dolphin & Wildlife Tour: Step-by-Step: ##1. Arrival & Check-In at Bradenton Beach Marina## (30 minutes before departure) Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled 2-hour tour at 402 Church Ave, Bradenton Beach, FL. Look for our Sea Rocket boat docked directly next to the Nautilus Bar. Free parking available on-site. Complete your waiver (sent via email/text) before arrival for faster check-in. Meet your USCG-licensed captain and let us know if your group has any special interests—dolphin photography, manatee viewing, or learning about marine ecosystems! ##2. Board Your Private Charter & Cruise the Intracoastal Waterway## Your group has the entire boat to yourselves—no sharing with strangers! Settle in as your captain begins cruising through Anna Maria Island's scenic Intracoastal Waterway. Learn about the local marine environment, barrier islands, and the best spots for wildlife viewing. Your captain will point out landmarks including the Skyway Bridge, historic Egmont Key in the distance, and Bridge Street's waterfront.
##3. Explore the Grass Flats & Shallow Bay Waters## Navigate into Palma Sola Bay and the protected grass flats where dolphins love to feed and play. These shallow, nutrient-rich waters attract bottlenose dolphin pods year-round. Watch for dolphins surfing boat wakes, teaching their calves to hunt, or leaping playfully through the water. Your captain knows their favorite spots and behaviors, dramatically increasing your chances of incredible encounters!
##4. Spot Manatees & Coastal Wildlife## (Seasonal) During cooler months (November-March), keep your eyes peeled for gentle manatees grazing in the warm shallow waters. Year-round, you'll see coastal birds including great blue herons, snowy egrets, white pelicans, ospreys, and occasionally even bald eagles. At low tide, watch wading birds hunting on exposed flats. Your captain shares fascinating facts about each species' behavior and habitat.
##5. Gulf of Mexico Coastline Cruise## Venture toward the stunning Gulf of Mexico for panoramic views of Bradenton Beach and Anna Maria Island's pristine white sand beaches. From the water, you'll see the coastline from a unique perspective. Dolphins are frequently spotted along the Gulf side as well, feeding in the deeper waters.
##6. Photo Opportunities Throughout Your Tour## Your captain will slow down or stop whenever wildlife appears, giving you perfect opportunities to capture photos and videos. Get shots of dolphins breaching, manatees surfacing to breathe, pelicans diving for fish, and your group against the beautiful Gulf Coast backdrop.
##7. Return to Bradenton Beach Marina## Cruise back through the Intracoastal Waterway to the marina, relaxed and full of memories. Your captain is happy to answer any final questions about the area, recommend local restaurants on Bridge Street, or suggest other Sea Rocket adventures like parasailing or sunset cruises. Disembark with a deeper appreciation for Anna Maria Island's incredible marine ecosystem.

Captain Jared and First Mate Matt get glowing mentions throughout these reviews, and it's clear they know how to make a day on the water memorable. Guests consistently praise how the crew creates a fun, relaxed atmosphere while making everyone feel safe and comfortable. The photo packages seem to be a real highlight—multiple first-timers mention the GoPro videos and pictures being totally worth the investment, giving them lasting memories of the experience. Flight times are generous, and the overall parasailing experience gets enthusiastic thumbs up from nervous newbies and confident flyers alike. Beyond parasailing, they also run sunset cruises with small groups where guests have spotted dolphins and enjoyed breathtaking Gulf views. The friendly, welcoming vibe carries across both offerings. One visitor dealt with a weather cancellation and communication gap around rescheduling, which is worth noting, but it's an isolated incident among hundreds of happy customers. The overwhelming sentiment points to a crew that genuinely cares about showing people a great time on the water.
Matt and Jarret were a great crew. Came down on a solo vacay and wanted to try parasailing and was very pleased that i did. Matt did a great job with the photos as well, was pleasantly surprised to find a bunch of fun photos in the album
