Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort, 4239 W. A. Barr Road, Mt. Shasta City, CA 96067
We camped, so no room evaluation. The campground has lots of shade from big old trees, which is beautiful. Unfortunately the air is often very dusty from the cars driving to their sites and often not keeping to 5 m/hr. Service basically doesn't exist, because almost no restrooms were available, the only place we found needs urgent upgrading, the check-in lady was really grumpy and there are no handouts to find your site. You have to scan a QR code that didn't work on my phone, my husband even had zero reception, and the other nice lady at check-in let me take then a picture later from her own site map, otherwise we would not have known how to find our site in this huge place. Super beautiful was the lake just a two minute walk from our site, peaceful and quiet. All in all the campground is too pricey though, since everything is kept as is, old rusty garbage cans, not emptied fire-rings from previous guests... It's nice to have a place that is not so developed, but then the price should be kept around $70-80, not around $120.
