Vieques is a separate island from mainland Puerto Rico, reached by ferry or plane. Arrange transportation in advance and check the ferry schedule. Plan to stay at least one night, as return transportation may not be available after the tour.
Yes. A larger moon creates more light interference, making the bay's glow less vibrant. Check the moon phase when choosing your date for the bio bay tour; the days leading up to a full moon can have substantial light interference.
Wear a swimsuit or comfortable clothes you don't mind getting wet, plus easily removable sandals or flip-flops. You'll go barefoot in the bay. Bring only essential items for kayaking.
