Build your own private Key West charter with flexible start times
6, 8, or 10 hours
Up to 6 people
Snorkel gear, cooler with ice
Plan a private charter around what you want to do on the water, from sandbar time to snorkeling, fishing, or a sunset cruise. Your U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)-licensed captain helps shape the route based on conditions.
For groups of 7–8, a captain fee of $65 per hour and a fuel charge of $35 per hour are paid to the captain at the dock; a suggested 20% tip is not included. Guests with infants or toddlers must bring a USCG-approved life jacket.
This booking is for the whole experience, which fits up to 6 guests.
Reservations made within 7 calendar days of departure are non-refundable. Cancel prior to 7 calendar days before departure for a full refund. Full refund if Six Fins Charter cancels due to unsafe weather conditions or other circumstances initiated by the owner/operator.
Yes. For trips up to 6 passengers, each passenger must complete an insurance waiver (adults complete it for minors). For groups with a 7th or 8th passenger, the primary renter (age 21+) and the captain complete a bareboat agreement together at the dock before departure.
If your group has 7–8 passengers, your booking does not include a captain fee of $65 per hour and a fuel charge of $35 per hour; you pay both to the captain at the dock before departure. A suggested 20% tip is also not included. Fishing trips also require bait and chum at cost, paid before departure.
Bring towels and any meals or beverages you want. If you’re bringing an infant or toddler, bring a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)-approved life jacket.
Key West, Fl.
Six Fins delivers consistently excellent experiences across both their boat charters and jet ski tours, with guests raving about the personal attention from their captains and guides. Names like Captain Dustin, Brian, Chris, and Jack come up repeatedly for their knowledge, hospitality, and ability to make everyone feel comfortable regardless of experience level. The sandbar tours are particularly popular, taking guests to stunning, secluded spots that showcase the real beauty of the Keys beyond the typical tourist areas. What really sets this operation apart is how their guides go above and beyond when guests need extra help. First-timers struggling with jet skis get patient instruction and additional support rather than being sent back early. The boats themselves get high marks for cleanliness and amenities (the lily pad is apparently a crowd favorite), and families especially appreciate how welcoming the crews are with kids. From prep calls before your trip to thoughtful touches like rescheduling lunch reservations when weather shifts plans, the team clearly prioritizes making sure every detail of your day works out perfectly.
We booked a 6-hour snorkeling and sandbar trip. Captain Mike was fantastic, and Commodore Tiny was the bomb. Perfect weather, great locations and just a lot of fun all around. Would definitely recommend to any group or family who wants a fun day on the water on the keys.
