Discover railroad history and mountain mining stories on a privately guided day out, combining a museum visit with a narrow-gauge train ride through the mountains.
Pick up in downtown hotel or at Union Station.
Pick up at other parts of Denver or suburbs is available for an extra charge.
Drive through downtown Denver key historic areas. See and learn about some interesting cowboy stories and the mining industry as we drive through town.
Arrive at the Golden Railroad Museum.
Visit the museum for approximately one hour.
Drive up to Georgetown for lunch and a quick tour of the mining town.
Take a ride on the Georgetown narrow gauge train loop through the mountains on the way to Silver Plume. From Silver plume we will go back on the train to Georgetown where we can stop for an ice cream cone for a snack.
From Georgetown we will drive into another mining town of Idaho Springs and drive by the Argo Coal Mine and Mill before we return to Denver.
