Wear closed-toe shoes (lava rocks are sharp). Bring a light jacket or windbreaker; a hat can also help. If you have a handicap parking pass, bring it to cut down on walking.
Request basic booster seats at least 24 hours in advance for children ages 5–8. Children under 5 must ride in a harness seat, and they are not provided. Children can never ride on laps.
