The guides here consistently impress visitors with their deep knowledge and genuine passion for Joshua Tree. Zarrin stands out in multiple reviews as particularly skilled at rock climbing instruction, astronomy tours, and creating personalized adventures that work for families with young children. Jacob, Wayne, and Matt also get enthusiastic shout-outs for their expertise in geology, local flora and fauna, and nighttime stargazing experiences. The astronomy component with "Starman Steve" seems especially memorable, with guests raving about telescope views of Saturn, the moon, and various constellations. Families appreciate how accommodating the team is, tailoring hikes to different skill levels and ages. One review highlights a guide's professionalism when helping a frightened climber safely descend, which speaks to their training and ability to handle tense situations calmly. The experiences go beyond standard tours with activities like cave exploration, off-the-beaten-path hikes, and even dinner cooked on-site. One complaint mentions difficulty with the large vehicle and communication issues with the company, though the guide quality remained high. Overall, expect knowledgeable, personable guides who create memorable adventures whether you're interested in geology, climbing, hiking, or exploring the desert sky.
What an inspiring excursion with Zarrin in this fabulous National Park! Joshua Tree was so special to see and Zarrin could not have been more knowledgeable. We had the best time. One we won’t forget and we hope to share with our grandkids one day!
