Choose a family-friendly Gallatin River raft with Class I–III rapids (Ages 6+)
3 hours door-to-door
Guide, river gear
Explore the Gallatin River on a less-challenging, half-day whitewater rafting trip designed for families and first-timers. Run fun Class II–III rapids while avoiding longer, more demanding stretches.
Trips require a minimum of 4 participants to run. Rafters must fit a personal flotation device with a maximum 56-inch chest size; pregnant women are not permitted. High water levels may restrict certain stretches and the provider may adjust the route for safety.
Full refund with 48+ hours notice before trip time. 50% charge if you cancel within 24–48 hours of departure. 100% charge within 24 hours. No-shows are charged the full price; no-show participants are charged 100% per person.
In May–June and late September, bring a bathing suit to wear under a provided wetsuit; you can also use a provided splash jacket and neoprene booties. In July–early September, wear quick-drying clothes you don’t mind getting wet (a bathing suit under lightweight shorts/pants and a T-shirt often works well). Avoid jeans, sweat suits, or other heavy cotton, and don’t wear sandals without a back strap.
Use of river gear is included at no charge, and changing rooms are available onsite.
Bring kids ages 6+; at least one adult age 18+ must join the trip with children under 14. High water levels may restrict participants age 17 and under from a Class IV stretch, and the provider may adjust your trip as needed.
